ArtFiber in the San Francisco Bay Area makes a yarn they call Zoftig. It is a soft wool yarn, almost like a ribbon yarn. This scarf is knit in a rust-colored Zoftig, in Grandma's Checkerboard Lace pattern by Karen Yaksik. It is soft against the skin, lacy without being delicate.

Merchant SKU: SC-HK-021212

One-Of-A-Kind: Studio at Red Top Ranch scarves are all handmade of the best natural materials, one at a time, each completely unique.

Dimensions: 7.5" x 66"

Care: hand wash in cool water, squeeze gently and wrap in towel to remove excess water, lay flat to dry.

Fiber content: 85% extrafine merino wool, 15% nylon

Every scarf from the Studio at Red Top Ranch is made of natural fibers - wool, alpaca, cotton, silk, and occasionally yak, llama and buffalo. Natural fibers are inherently luxurious, breathable, durable, eco-friendly and sustainable. The yarn is purchased at fiber fairs, fiber mills, and farm workshops - as close to the contributing animal and its hard-working rural family as possible.

About the Studio at Red Top Ranch: Red Top Ranch is the western Nebraska home of a small rural family, 3 rescued dogs and one fiber artist. At the heart of the Studio at Red Top Ranch is a love of beauty, nature, the great outdoors, individuality, the West, and winter. My scarves and rugs are made using the old-fashioned, traditional hand-crafting methods of my prairie artisan great grandmothers. I create by hand, one project at a time, combining natural materials with good design for beauty, durability, and individuality.
