What a colorful fellow perched in a rose bush! It's hard to believe that these birds, found from Arizona and the Gulf Coast to North Carolina and mid Florida, truly have such an amazing variety of colorful plumage.

This tile is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and can be used in a kitchen or bath back-splash, a fireplace surround ,or as a framed stand alone piece of artwork.

Using the cuerda seca method popular in the Arts and Crafts era of the early 1900's, Richard lays out his drawing of the bird using wax, then applies the color.
Whether you have an Arts and Crafts style home or just appreciate the beauty of birds, these tiles can make a lovely accent.

(the pictured frame is not included in the price but can be purchased separately in the 'Tile Frames' section).
