Inspired by the original 1850's John Tenniel Illustrations our backwards clock was conceived and is still made in our Oceanside studio. The wood is cut, the art created, the sturdy laminated prints as well as assembly is all done here by the artist Dan Herron. It features the "Hooka Smoking Caterpillar and Alice with Art Nouveau numbers that are reversed.! The motor also is designed to go backwards. Watch the second hand go counterclockwise! These clocks have been sold and made here for 15 years and are a favorite with the likes of Grace Slick and Weird Al Vankovick A dependable motor runs the gears backwards also made in the U.S.A.! If it gets confusing the clock is easy to read in a mirror. Giclee laminated on hand turned Birchwood. 10" round. Made in the California. Signed by the artist. Daniel Herron Warning! This is a simple wood clock with our art laminated on the front. It comes with a metal hanger on the back.. We do not make full color boxes for packaging.
