Danish Modern Arne Basse Teak Viking Figurine And Bottle Opener - Bojesen and Bolling Era Viking Figure

Made with warm teak, this lovely little viking is pure 60's. This super cute figurine was made in Denmark in the late 60's,and is marked "Arne Basse Denmark" on his foot. The best thing about this little guy is the fact the he's impaled with a spear that doubles as a bottle opener!. We're in love with this figure, not only because he's incredibly unique, but also for just how successfully Basse achieved that particular sense of Danish cartoonish whimsy. This little guy is composed of excellent materials, and is clearly of the highest craftsmanship. Much like Carl Bent's whimsical figures, or Hans Bolling's little men, this guy is in excellent shape, with some nicks in his face, right around his nose. This uber fun viking is ready to guard your home with his very particular 60's presence, and would look great in any retro home...
