This was acquired from an estate of a former teacher from New England. We have a couple dresses from her estate with this same style. She became a teacher at 18 years old and this indicative in these dresses as this shows in the "junior" styling of these garments.

This lovely dress circa 1915-1916 when the hemline was at the highest ever in history at that time.

This well made garment is fashioned from baby blue and white heavy cotton with red and white embroidered details.

This features a paneled bodice and high waist trimmed at the front with red buttons. The short sleeves and high waistline are edged with red embroidered scallops and contacting white pique trim.

Skirt is made with inverted panels extending from waist to hem. This has an "A" line silhouette. Dress fastens down the front on the inside with mother of pearl buttons on a blue placket and hooks at the waist.

Please note that some photos are done with flash in order to show detailing.

This has wash wear throughout the dress, but this does add character to the garment and is ever so pretty. There is also one missing button.
The fabric is very strong and there are no rips, holes, tears, stains, alterations etc. This is very wearable. Would be perfect for a photo shoot, theater or movie.
