An elegant and delicate contemporary ceramic vase. This vase is a part of a series of 3 vessels, all decorated with black birds images.

Inspired by Japanese paper arts and by their crafty folding techniques, techniques of turning a flat piece of paper into a magnificent 3-D structure.
In a similar fashion, this vase body is structured by gently folding a thin, paper-like porcelain slab and creating a delicate looking porcelain vessel.

Hand built from a single porcelain slab. I used an Inlay technique to create the black bird.
Glazed on the inside and left unglazed from the outside.

It stands around 7" (18cm) tall, between 3.5" -4.4" (9-10.5cm) X 2.5" - 3.3" (6.5-8.5cm).

Every vase is hand built and unique. The vase structure is free and asymmetric.

Perfect for a bouquet of flowers or as a decorative piece for your home.
