Ordered originally as a custom colorway for doll hair, this colorway has become quite popular. This is the fourth dyelot of Cookie Monster!

This colorway reminded me of Cookie Monster and Kermit singing a duet. Bright cookie monster blue with hints of orange, deep violet, and frog green. Very bright and whimsical, makes fantastic doll hair....how about a mobius cowl? Slouch hat? Muff? This yarn is very soft and is spun with a nice loft.

100 yard skeins, thick and thin heavy worsted to light bulky, skeins weigh about 2 oz each.

Each skein of yarn is a labor of love. Recycled or local roving is hand painted with low acid dyes, steamed, and cooled for 24 hours to ensure colorfast yarn and less environmental impact as no dye is being washed down the drain. The roving is drafted and spun on my dreamy Schacht Matchless wheel, wound onto the niddy noddy and fashioned into a skein. Next, I soak the skein of yarn in a spring water and organic grapefruit/eucalyptus essential oil rinse. At this point the wet skein is blocked (dried with weights or on a yarn blocker to remove overtwist) and finally stored, awaiting a new home.

Handspun yarn, handpainted yarn, Merino wool thick and thin bulky yarn, last one available-SESAME STREET
