An antique-style engagement ring created by me using sterling silver patterned wire, 14kt yellow gold, and a 4mm round (approx. 1/4 carat) genuine, Charles & Colvard Moissanite. The bezel setting is tapered and sits about 1/4" above the band. I've oxidized the silver and polished off the high points to emphasize the crown-like pattern along the band.

Details:

Metal: 14kt yellow gold (100% recycled) and sterling silver (80% recycled, 20% mined in U.S.)

Finish: Antiqued silver, bright gold

Stone: 4mm (approx. 1/4 carat) Charles and Colvard Moissanite

Band Dimensions: .220" x .063" (5.59 x 1.6mm)
Please note that due to the pattern extending all the way around the band, there will be a slightly visible solder "seam" where the two sides were joined.

Sizes Available: This ring would best fit a U.S. size 5-5.5

♡ What is Moissanite? First discovered approximately 100 years ago in an Arizona meteor crater by Henri Moissan, moissanite is silicon carbide, or SiC, and is extremely rare. So rare, in fact, that naturally occurring moissanite is not used in jewelry applications. Charles & Colvard developed a way to synthesize moissanite in a lab and is the exclusive marketer and distributor. (Do not be fooled by other gems that claim to be "moissanite" as Charles & Colvard developed the process and hold the patents). Moissanite is scientifically proven to have more fire and brilliance than diamonds and is harder than rubies, sapphires, and emeralds (second only in hardness to diamonds). Moissanites are a wonderful alternative to mined diamonds!
