It wasn't easy determining what this is. I got lots of guesses: soap dish, egg separator, spoon stand. But its an egg dipper esp used at Easter. It is tarnished on the top side and has the patina to beat all but otherwise in perfect condition.

Its really adorable, collectible and a fun conversation piece. I have a shelf in my home that holds all my "guess what this is" items. But I suppose I shall give it up although i wont mind if it doesn't sell. Its lightweight, stem is 7" tall and the egg space is 3.5". It has a lip on the back for hanging it on the bowl or pot rim to drain the egg or just let it stand on its 4 little legs

Based on my research, this seems to be a rare and somewhat hard to find piece.
