This is a 3-piece plaster mold for casting a small figure of a Scot boy playing a bagpipe. He has a cherubic look, like the Campbell Soup kids.

We got a bunch of these a long time ago thinking we would use the us molds and cast a bunch of kooky stuff. But lately we've been seeing these more as sculptural forms in their own right. Since it's a negative form, it catches the light makes it read like a photo neg, giving the face an other-worldly feel, accented by the bumps and hollows keep the mold lined up while casting.

No maker's markings, looks like it could be from the 50's to the 70's. Fitted together, the mold is about 5.5" tall, by about 3" wide. It would make a figure about 3.75" tall. It weighs about 1.25 pounds. Item #P-1010071

Shipping rates are for a 2 lb package via USPS Parcel Post in U.S., or USPS First Class Mail for international customers, who may be responsible for additional import fees or duties. Any shipping savings over $1 will be refunded. Buyers in NY State will pay 8% tax at checkout.
