Character Dimensions in Inches: 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.5Oooooohh his belly was full. Fuller than usual, more full than it had ever been and while it was a little bit uncomfortable it also felt grrrreat...sort of...oooohhh
Dob rolled onto his backside, tail between his legs, to provide maximum space for his gently rounded belly.
It was that sort of full, the sort that needed time and a quiet place and absolutely NO pressure on the belly while digesting...
Dob patted his stomach with his paw, to think the humans didn't think he should have an entire bag of cat treats. Ha! Proved them wrong hadn't he?
Oooohhh, his belly grumbled as if wondering what to do with the enormous amount of little fishy flavoured crunchies Dob had sent down to it in a very short amount of time.
THIS was the life, Dob purred, idly licked a stray crumb from his whiskered cheek. He was content, he felt powerful, in control...and full.....
The humans were kind enough, every day they walked with him twining about their fleshy legs to the kitchen where they scooped out tasty cat food from the can.
Canned food was yummy and filled his tummy nicely but....it was no cat treats....crunchy little nuggets of pure feline bliss... Doled out a few at a time by kind human hands but still...Dob's ears twitched, his belly gurgled, a few, a FEW wasn't ENOUGH! A few were gobbled down in no time..even when they hid them around his favorite napping spot and on his enormous cat tree or even when they got sneaky and put them in little cardboard tubes and he had to roll his eyes at what they thought of as a "clever" hiding place and poke his paw in and pull out his snack, it still wasn't enough.
Those treats....mmmm...those treats haunted his dreams, his every waking moment.
Life was a continuing path of kitty comforts and delights interspersed with little nuggets of pure, salmony bliss. How he lived for those moments. Meowed for those moments, nudged the human's legs over and over and ovvvver again until they got the hint and gave him a few more..FEW...
Harumpppppph...
Dob wiggled, slumping back again, his very full belly demanding that absolutely no part of himself, the floor, his cuddle blanket or anything touch it while it went about it's busy job of kitty treat digestion...
The humans thought they knew what was best...but Dob had figured something out. Who was the clever one now?
After today's few treats were scattered about for him the human had sealed the bag and tucked it away on the shelf.
Dob eyed it greedily, if only he could have more...
MORE! The idea struck him, brilliantly, as bright as any light, shining in his kitty mind, a wonderful idea he'd never, ever thought of before.
MORE!
He'd just help himself to more!
It was genius, the best sort of genius, feline born the idea set his tail a twitching, his always rough purr roared louder and as quickly as the idea was formed he'd leapt onto the shelf and batted the bag onto the floor.
For a moment he eyed the room from his new height, then he eyed the bag on the floor, eyes widening in happy delight.
The fall had knocked it open and little brown crunchy kitty treats had flew across the floor like confetti. It was so beautiful a sight that he couldn't stop himself from meowing his pleasure. Even at the risk of being caught...
"MEOOOOOOOOOOOOW!"
But no one came, they were busy doing their human things that didn't interest Dob as they didn't involve making him cozy cat beds out of their blankets, scratching his ears, rubbing his back, getting him treats or moving one of his cat trees to a different window so he could bunny watch from a new location....
Shaking away the thoughts Dob leapt nimbly to the floor and without a moment's hesitation began to gobble up the treats. No FEW treats, there were tons...he gobbled and crunched and licked and chewed his way across the floor. He found the sneaky ones that had skittered under the edge of the cabinets, he found the ones that lurked in the shadowy space under the shelves and just when his very full belly lamented that they were all gone....he found MORE! Inside the crinkly plastic bag, crouching low on the floor Dob poked his paw around inside the plastic until he'd slipped free every last one.....
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, he tried to roll to a more comfortable spot...his belly was very full feeling.....
But it had been worth it, he'd outsmarted the humans, they who thought they knew best for him...Dob slumped back even further, heaving a breath as his belly gurgled again....a FEW treats?
HA!
He purred, rough and choppy, content, proud of his achievements...and very, very, very full.
