This listing is reserved for Anita for a slightly larger, slightly different piece than this.

We complete each other is embroidered in slate and deep blue on beautiful homespun linen that is between 100-120 years old. The porcelain doll arms are from Germany and were dug from the earth from the grounds of an old doll factory that operated between 1890-1920. The piece is framed in a vintage metal embroidery hoop that measures 6 1/4 inches by 3 7/8 inches. The piece is backed with wool felt and is signed and dated on the back. It hangs with a simple vintage ribbon.

If you'd like to read more about the history of the linen you can check out my blog post about it here: http://marysgranddaughter.blogspot.com/2009/06/look-what-i-found.html
