Haiku poetry journal made from a vintage recycled copy of the book.

A lovely upcycled journal to inspire your notes, thoughts, sketches; this journal is not only lovely to use, but eco-friendly as well.

This unique recycled journal is created from a salvaged copy of a Penguin 60s Classic 'Basho: Haiku'. The book was printed in 1986 and cost 60p; the poems are translated from the Japanese.Totally one-of-a-kind.

Haiku is a poetic form and a type of poetry from the Japanese culture. Many themes include nature, feelings or experiences, painting a mental image in the reader's mind.

The journal measures 4.5" x 5.5" (11cm x 14cm) and is hand-stitched with strong cotton thread. The original book was falling apart - the pages now have a blank page of sketch book paper in between each one, ready for you to write or draw in.

Be delighted and inspired!
