Stunning Art Deco Teacup and Saucer Set in blue, gold and white, made by Johann Seltmann Vohenstraub, Bavaria, West Germany, dates from the mid to late 1950s. By all indications, it appears to be hand painted due to irregularities in the triangular striped pattern. The motif in the center of the cup is not "perfectly" on-center and the gold shows some wear, this being the only indication the set is not in "mint" condition. The china itself has no scratches, chips, cracks or crazing and is otherwise in wonderful vintage condition. The cup measures 2 1/8" high and 4 1/8" across, the plate 5 7/8" across.

The set has been very well cared for coming from a private collection where it was used for display purposes. Just an exquisite Art Deco piece which would make a great addition to any collection. Rare to come by such a beautiful set!
