"Purple Lady"
This listing is for the 16x16" original oil painting only (anything else in the photos is for size reference only). This painting was created in September 2018 as a part of a series of seacreature-themed paintings.
The canvas is back-stapled to a wood frame and the 3/4" thick sides are painted flat black, so that it can be hung on the wall without an additional frame and there is no need for re-stretching the painting as it will be shipped as-is (NOT rolled).
This painting can also be bought already framed in the one-of-a-kind, original, handcrafted wooden frame (note: may not be EXACT frame shown, but same color and fit to the painting). The frame is approximately 1" on the front and overlays the painting about .25" on all sides. The sides are approximately 1.5" (the amount it stands out from the wall), and are crafted to specifically hold this canvas (about .75" width). A sawtooth hanger is also included. This frame is made from pine, painted black, and finished with an oil-based finish. Each of the wooden frames sold in the store are unique and made to fit the canvases used by this shop; no frame is exactly the same.

I had a commission done by Colleen based on one of her amazing paintings - rather, inspired by. These are great, lightweight, so much so I can put them anywhere. I can use tacky putty if I wanted to, or tiny little nails. The best part was I told her exactly what I wanted, she painted me more than I needed, and I couldn't help but take almost all of them! She even included little display "eisels" in case I didn't want to put up on my wall. I love how many ways I can show these. Her work is going to be a part of my first, new house, and I am honored...HONORED they are going to be the first things hung. I'm coming back for more...cats in space I think!

I custom ordered this piece and it did not disappoint when it arrived! The colors and work are wonderful! I also appreciated Colleen throughout the entire process. She really made the process so easy (even if I felt high maintenance at times), communicated everything, and made me feel like I was driving what she was creating. Will def order again :)

This is my 2nd painting from Colleen and will not be the last! Pictures just don’t do these little paintings justice. It was also larger in person than I realized it would be, so that is a major bonus too!
