Vintage Hall Tea Pot Cadet Blue Parade Six Cup 0789 Circa 1950's. This is a wonderful example of Hall China. The Hall China Company was founded by Robert Hall in East Liverpool, Ohio in August 1903. The Company still continues production and in 2003 celebrated it's 100 year Anniversary.

Hall China Company developed an exclusive process and 47 new colors, at that time they really started to design and sell decorated teapots. They became the largest producer of these teapots in the world, when they added a plethora of new shapes and colors, but by the 1940's teapots sales began to dwindle with the increased preference for coffee by the buying public.

What is interesting to learn about the Hall Company, they taught American Homemakers how to brew the perfect pot of tea through their marketing programs. The crew at Sterling Copper would be proud!

This tea pot measures 6 1/2" tall, 9" wide measuring from the spout to the handle, 3 1/2" round base, and holds six cups, trimmed in gold, with scattered gold leaves on the top of the pot. There are no nicks, cracks and is in excellent condition. The Markings of 0789 stand for the pattern and color of the teapot. This pattern called Parade was made from 1930-1970.

I personally love this piece, but my kitchen shelves and display area are packed with treasures and as they say," there is no room in the inn". If you are a new collector this would be a marvelous starter piece, or if you are an already devoted fan, this teapot would be the star in your collection.

This would be a great gift for your vintage lover or I won't tell if you treat yourself.

Please put the pot on, Dr. Who said he will be here before 4:00pm today.
