An antique English redware teapot with floral decoration.

This little two cup teapot looks to date to the late 19th or early 20th century. Made from glazed reddish brown clay, with two rows of low relief beading and a contrasting band of cream coloured glaze with a repeat blossom motif.

Nicely styled handle and spout. It holds one English pint or half a litre and pours well. I like this size of pot for brewing up premium teas and this type of ceramic keeps it all nice and warm!

In good condition: no chips or cracks, just some faint crazing to the cream glaze. Stands 4" high and is 5" wide not including the handle, finial & spout. No maker's mark.
