SALE!!! Originally $360 -- Now $310.00

I've made this lovely happy 54" x 70 black, red and white throw quilt with bandanna print fabrics - perfect for that little cowboy or cowgirl in your life. It has happy paisley shapes scattered in the center.

I can see it used also as a tablecloth in a white kitchen or a picnic table or a picnic quilt for that sunny summer day!

The floral burst of red in the center radiate out to appliqued shapes - all the pieces with satin stitching and I emphasized the applique with black rick rack. The outer blocks are red and black and white square in squares.

I echo quilted the center pieces and grid quilted the outer border.
All my quilting is done by myself on my home Husqvarna sewing machine.

I backed this quilt with an all over black and white floral print and used the same red bandanna print for the binding, which I machine stitched for added strength

I machine quilt every inch to two inches on my quilts which involves a tremendous amount of stops and starts and thread changes. I quilt on my home sewing machine (which can LITERALLY be a pain in the neck (and arms-and back!) with some of my larger quilts!!) using chalked stencil markings or free motion quilting which I make up along the way. This takes a super amount of time which I have to make up for in my pricing, but I think well worth the extremely personal touch.

I, and only I , have touched my quilts and worked it at every step of the process..from dreaming at 2 a.m. of your new quilt - from fabric shop -to planning -to cutting - to stitching - to finishing - to packaging - to you!!!!

I used Soft and White polyester batting - the fabric is 100% cotton.
Gentle cold machine wash, no bleach, gentle warm dry or lay flat to dry.
Your quilt will get softer and softer with use and lots of love!

For this quilt I washed the front and the back of the quilt separately and then quilted it with the batting (which wasn't prewashed). This means the quilt will shrink just slightly - about 1%..The fabric washed up beautifully! I always include a Shout Color Catcher sheet for that first wash.

My sewing studio is away from the rest of the home - we do have a beautiful cat but he never comes near my quilts - though he would love to!! We have a complete smoke-free environment however.

Most of my quilts are not prewashed so you can expect shrinkage of both cotton and cotton batting up to 3% with the first washing. Washing should be done on a gentle delicate slow cycle, cold washing, no bleach, mild detergent, lay flat to dry and tumble every 15 minutes to fluff. Handwashing is highly recommended for optimal care of a quilt.
My quilts are usually not a standardized bed size. The fabric 'speaks' to me telling me just how small or large it wants the quilt to turn out! :)
Many of my quilts are a large throw size although I have made both larger and smaller as well as table topper size. All sizes are listed to the inch in the item description. Because my quilts are bound and finished, I am unable to make them larger, as has been requested many times.
