This is another in a series of Ohio birds I've been working on. I love nuthatches, but have yet to be able to attract any to my feeders. This one is not quite 6" from tip of beak to tip of tail. Like my other birds, he is wool, with polymer clay eyes and beak. His feet are wire, covered with florist tape, then painted with acrylics. Although I coated his feet with a mix of flexible (bookbinding) glue and acrylics in hopes of making him more poseable, the acrylic paints do not allow bending. His legs are not fragile, they just can't be reposed as the paint will probably crack. The picture shown is the actual bird you will receive. He will arrive safely packed in his own little box. If you would like a special bird made, I will happily oblige! I love, love birds.
