100% Beeswax -hand poured into a heavily carved European cookie mold.

Here is a saltbox house, nicely carved with a tree on one side, and a faint fence on the other. There is a dusting of cinnamon to give wonderful detail. SIZE: 1 7/8 x 2 3/8

My castings are made from reproductions of the springerle and spice cookie molds carved as long ago as 1500. These cookies were sold at fairs and bakeries, and what a competition for the best cookies there must have been when you see how beautiful and detailed these molds are.

Because Beeswax has a melting point of 140 degrees F, the casting will not melt under normal household temperatures. I store mine wrapped individually in tissue paper- BUT NOT IN THE ATTIC! I have beeswax ornaments that are 30 plus years old and look like the day I bought them.

Fabulous detail, deeply carved casting in black Also available in natural and red.
