This walking stick is made from a Sweetgum tree that had to be cleared from along the edge of a pond. It was cured for a year and a half before I started the carving. It is lightweight, sturdy, and well balanced. I've added a rubber foot for better traction on slick surfaces and included a paracord wrist loop to allow for secure handeling. The stick stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and the bark has been stripped back below the carving for a comfortable grip.

The woodspirit seems to be a bit surprised, but is a willing companion to accompany you on a casual walk along a nature trail, or a rigorous hike through rugged terrain. He's perfect for a bird watching expedition, or just a cozy corner in the room as a conversational piece. The carving is stained with a Minwax Gel Coat stain to add depth to the details and then the entire stick is coated with three coats of Captain's Varnish to maintain a protected yet natural finish.

Thanks for looking, and if you have any questions, please feel free to send me a conversation.
