** This lovely piece is now reserved for Wendy...thanks so much for looking! **

This is a really beautiful brooch by the Baltimore company Stieff, founded in 1904. What makes it even more special is that it comes in it's original box which is in amazing condition for it's age!

The brooch is approximately 13 mm at it's widest and approximately 78 mm at it's longest. (just a hair over three inches in length)

The design has great depth and wonderful features lush roses with other flowers and foliage done in the repousee technique that Stieff is so well known for.

The back of the brooch is marked "Stieff" and "Sterling & Other Metals." The brooch closes with a c-type works perfectly well, despite the pin having a few bends in it. It has a weight of 7.55 grams.

The box is gorgeous, too....covered in a bright and rich, luscious velvet...sort of a bright raspberry color. The interior lining is black velvet on the bottom portion and cream satin on the inside top portion. The box closes securely with it's original mother of pearl button. Besides a little dust inside and a tiniest bit of wear near the hinges, it is in excellent condition!

A wonderful vintage find!

Please convo with any questions and Thanks for looking!
