Handcrafted bow tie made from African fabric. Navy and white print is a bold eye catching contrast with a formal echo. A striking conversation piece for sure.

It goes with a surprising amount of things. Dress it up, dress it down, either way it's distinctive and dapper.
It has 4 shell buttons along the back for an easy adjustment.

Each bow tie is one of a kind so the bow tie you receive may be slightly different than the one pictured.

The African Wax Prints get their name from their method of production. They are made using a wax resist method similar to batik that creates irregularities which have become the signature of African fabric and give each yard its own unique quality.

The style of printing gained popularity in Africa after WWI. There are several theories about how the traditionally Indonesian batiks found their way into Africa but one thing is certain: once in Africa the fabric took on a new look and new meanings. All over Africa they have served as everything from baby wraps to political advertisements.

African Fabric Bow Tie, with bold blue and white stripes. Great wedding accessory and gift for men or women. Real shell buttons on back
