Box of 34 miniature bottles.
1940's hair & scalp tonic bottles made by
John E. Warner in the 1940's.

Very cool little glass bottles.
All the same size.
Each has either a blue or yellow label....
saying, "Special Formula 32, 14, 24...
a series of numbers.
These capped bottles have been used
and have a residue of the formula inside.
They all fit into a divided paper box.
Box has a red faux snakeskin on the outside.

Label:
John E. Warner was an expert in baldness
during the 40's.
Here's an article on him from 1942:

http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1144&dat=19420924&id=7CobAAAAIBAJ&sjid=gEwEAAAAIBAJ&pg=6379,4680552

The box measures:
14" long by 6" wide by 7/8" deep
Each bottle measures 2 1/2" long by 2 1/4" in circumference.

Great vintage destressed condition.
Some labels have stains and tape marks.
Box has edge and corner wear... stains... it's lived!
So cool!
