Right now we are filling jars in Fruit, Food, Earth/Incense, Clean/Citrus and Floral. This listing is for the fruity smelling candle. Check back frequently for the others and for new categories as we realize we need them.

I think this is the best idea we've had in quite a while!!! And I'm going to tell you what it is but first I need to tell you a little story :0) Just so you know, they are made with both soy and palm wax and they are 12 ounces.

I am a VERY sloppy candle maker. This means that I end up with wax everywhere - on the work table, on my utensils, puddled around my molds and on and on. As much as we'd hate to do it, we scrape up this wax and throw it away :( There's no choice really as the waxes would blend and we'd end up with some very strange (we thought at the time) combinations. It bothered me. I hate waste. I tried being neater but that didn't really work - I don't have that steady of a hand.

And then about a month ago while my mind was wandering, I remembered that back when I had a brick and mortar, people would walk in all the time and say, "I want a candle that smells just like this shop!" In addition to burning and selling all sorts of fragrances, I would also make all those products in that brick and mortar. It smelled glorious!!!

Now let me jog you to the right here for a moment. My husband LOVES salsa. He eats it every day which results in lots and lots of 12 ounce jars.......FREE jars :0)

Okay. Back to our story. As I had that random thought about how my store smelled, I came up with an idea. As a result of that idea, I now keep at least one and often two of those salsa jars wicked and sitting on the work tables. Now, as I scrape that 'wasted' wax off the tables, utensils, molds etc. I pop it all into those jars. When I have a tad of wax left in the bottom of the measuring cup I just pour it into the jars instead. This creates what I call a Candle Shop candle!!!! Isn't that neat?!?!!? And because the jar is free and the wax would have ended up being thrown away, it may end up that you pay more for the shipping than you do for the candle....WOOT!!!

My "guinea pigs" have done testing on these candles now for a month and can honestly say that these candles truly make your home smell like a candle store. A few of them get a kick out of trying to figure out the scents as it burns. Just so you know, they are made with both soy and palm wax and they are 12 ounces.

They are ugly! They are fun! They are conversation starters :) and they are in demand. I will always keep at least one posted up here on Etsy but don't be surprised if you get a convo back from me saying they are on back order. You will be added to a numerical list and receive your candle in proper order as each candle is finished.

Now since this "little" story ended up being a L-O-N-G drawn out explanation I won't go into the details of who, how, what and why as far as our soy and palm waxes, the fragrance oils we use and our wicking details. Please visit another candle listing if you need to know this info, okay.

If you're still reading this then you are truly a candle fanatic LOL......Thank you!!
