History can be beautiful!

Ammonites are fossils, possessing the typically ribbed spiral-form shell as pictured above. These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago, when they became extinct along with the dinosaurs.

These earrings are made from an ammonite fossil sliced and polished.

The fossils are 1 1/8” x 1 3/8” and are many shades of burnt sienna, crystallized ambers, and toffee browns with iridescent areas on the back produced by minerals during the fossilization.

The earrings are approximately 2 1/8” long with the sterling silver wires.

These are shipped gift boxed with a descriptive jewelry tags listing gems and metals used.
