The Platters were one of the most popular , one of the hottest, singing groups in the nineteen fifties, with number one hit after hit, many of which went gold. It would have been hard to turn the radio on back then and not hear a platters tune. Why? The simple reason is that their songs were so good and their performances were so good, and their style was so good. Good? They were great! Just listen to this record and you'll know why. With Tony WIlliams beautiful tenor and Zola Taylor's throaty soprano and the rest of the group backing them up with perfect pitch and harmony. The results? A great album! Entertaining cover notes about the group and the individual songs (such as - this is one of the few times - up to that time - that "Twilight Time" had been recorded as a vocal!) There's not a clinker at all in this collection of songs. DON"T BLAME ME if you fall in love with the record.

DISC - Minimum surface marking - bright and clean with no scratches - plays brightly and cleanly with a minimum of extraneous noise - hardly seems to have been played much - an exceptionally well-preserved disc with beautiful sound. The label is bright and clean with no spindle marks.

COVER - Clean and presentable, with the following noted: The cover has two catalog labels, front and rear (this record came from a huge collection of pop record albums); There is a small purchase note neatly written in green ink at the bottom mouth corner of the cover's back; a small inspection stamp is on the back of the cover; mild surface weathering and a bit of paper wrinkles to back - none of this is egregious.

LINER - Clean original paper liner still present - the record is housed in a new paper sleeve.
