This Ansco Ready Flash camera is a super cool piece! It comes with the accessory flash unit, flash bulb, a beautiful leather carrying case, original directions, an extra lens, “No. 30 Ansco Portrait Lens 1+,” 2 Kodachrome film cases, a role of film in the camera, and an extra role of film. I attempted to test the camera and found the buttons and knobs in working order. I did not attempt to remove or advance the film inside of the camera as I didn’t want to ruin the film. I thought it could be like a treasure hunt for the buyer! So although it most likely works, I am selling this camera only as a fabulous display piece.

The Leather carrying case is also in excellent condition for approx. 60 years old! It is lined with a soft red velvet and has a removable center on the bottom to adjust for camera size. The case is a generous size and could accommodate many different styles of camera. It has a shelf on top with storage compartments. The bag is marked Ansco in gold lettering on the front and latches shut.

The extra roll of film found with the camera is wrapped in green foil and has the label, “Pachromatic film.” It has an unbroken seal, leading me to believe it is unused. This matches the film found inside the camera. It is being sold as-is.

The Ansco Ready Flash camera was made in the 1950s. According the included user’s guide, “The Ready Falsh takes 8 pictures this size (2 ¼ inches X 3 ¼ inches) on Ansco 620 Roll Film" This camera was exciting when it came out because it had a flash that was ready, i.e. Ready Flash. The flash accessory unit easily mounts onto the top of the camera into two flash terminals that are in synch with the camera’s shutter.

As I mentioned above, I played around with the camera and buttons clicked and the knobs wound. I am not a camera expert, so I am selling this as a display piece in great vintage condition with some expected aging. There are not visible cracks or scratches. I did notice a small amount of rust where the right hand battery goes in the flash accessory unit. The condition of the film inside the camera is unknown as it is obviously undeveloped. The leather case is in excellent vintage condition for its age! There is a small scratch about ¼ ” long in the back of the case. The handle is in good shape but has the tendency to bend a little when not being hung.

The camera case measures 14”x5”x8”. The Camera measures: 4 ½” x 2 ½” X 3.” The flash has a circumference of 5.” It is a great statement piece!

If you have any questions/ special shipping requests feel free to convo me. I would be happy to help!

Note: A portion of all The Pink Picker’s sales go towards my family’s domestic adoption efforts. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!
