This is my go to tool for doming rounds and squares alike...Anyone working with sheet metal should have one. It's great economical way to start doming your metal and will not mar or hammer out your stampings~ if you have a bend this is a great way to hammer it out.....I use both size wooden pins/punches for different projects ~
Lay your annealed hammered piece in the largest dome hole...take the large dome pin and tap the top of the pin with your average size hammer.....til the metal is an even dome...at this point if you want more of a curve, place it in the next size smaller dome hole...you may need to anneal in between downsizing ~ now you have a curved piece! Play around with scrap metal til you get the hang of it...but it's really pretty easy...
The wooden cube measures 2 1/4" and has a different side doming hemisphere on each side. The set also comes with two wooden punches.. The block is approximately 2" x 2".
There are 6 depressions:
2 x 29mm (approximately 1-1/8")
2 x 34.3mm (approximately 1-1/2")
2 x 40.8mm (approximately 1-3/4")
