1950's Pill Chart Drug Plate - Large Square Plate with Vintage Found Art

10" Square .75" Tall

My father was a psychiatrist and a bit of a hoarder. I found this clipping in a bag of papers that he squirreled away in the garage. It's a Smith Kline & French (SK&F) capsule identification chart from 1958, meant as an insert to the Physician's Desk Reference. It includes such drugs as Compazine, Thorazine, Dexedrine and Benzedrine.

Inspired by my ongoing fascination with the history of psychiatry and medicine, combined with my recent exploration of recycling old ceramic pieces and giving them a new life.

This is a large and somewhat heavy square porcelain commercial plate that I've upcycled with a custom decal.
The decal is fused to the piece and is permanent.
I recommend that you wash this piece by hand, when necessary, or wipe it with a damp cloth.
