This is a pair of antique porcelain dinner plates made in 1882. The plates are octagonal, white, with a deep blue-green glazed border. The border is further embellished with hand painted gilt ivy sprigs, and an inner circular gilt and beaded border. The reverse of each displays their Registry mark, which identifies them as having been made December 6, 1882. The plates measure 9 7/8 inches in diameter. Some gilt is missing from the outer edges of the plates; no cracks or chips present.
