GASP! Found these in a antique store a long time ago and begged for my hubby to buy these for me. I played with my uncle's original set when I was little girl and they were so wonderful. Luckily I have a wonderful husband who indulges my vintage collecting. These are referred to as pre-LEGO, and they are lego-ish. It was a precursor to the Lego bricks but by a completely different company here in the US. Lego bought the company in the early 1970's and did their own take of the design.

Interestingly enough, my Uncle Jerry became (he is now retired) a masonry builder. I thought these were rare, as this is the only set I've ever seen... besides my uncles, but there are quite a few sets out there on websites. There are 202 pieces total out of 208 stated on the package.

Lots of windows, door and special bricks to build houses ect. About 5 larger bricks and 5 small bricks are chipped/broken. The container artwork is holding on tenuously, and has stains etc. Overall all a really great set of bricks for play.
