This is a unique, vintage, wood and lithographed paper constructed game board, made by Hoyle, possibly in the late 19th or early 20th century. The spine of the pieces is labeled "Life Of Hoyle", and the interior is decorated with a flowering branch, butterfly, and spider in its web. The red tape joining the 2 pieces has dried with age and no longer sticks. Each section of the two measures 7 5/8 inches wide, by 14 3/4 inches high, by1 1/8 inch deep. Overall width of the 2 pieces is then 15 1/4 inches. There is considerable wear, paper losses, and some slight bowing to the board portions, but what remains has considerable charm.
