This is a vintage frame I turned into a shadow box. It measures approx 10" (25.4 cm) by 7 3/4" (19.7 cm). I first painted the frame with Annie Sloan chalk paint to give it a "shabby chic" look, then used as a backing a remnant of an old hand-stitched quilt. The buttons are all old; most are mother-of-pearl, some dyed, and the wooden spool of thread is from the late '60s. Some of the items I bought new years ago; some were old when I acquired them.

It would make a great addition to a sewing room or gift for a sewer!
