What else is capable of imparting such style and fashion, such rich history as a Vintage Bakelite Butterscotch Bracelet? Let alone- A Whole Arm of Bakelite!

Butterscotch! Deep Red, Mississippi Mud, Cinnamon, Earth Brown! -Very unique colors indeed!

These bangles have the traditional 2 1/2" opening, and, get this.... a 2mm wall... what's that in inches? 1/16".... Very light, ALSO very resilient and strong- maybe even a little 'flexible'. The width ranges from 3/8" up to 1"- Worn together they are just over 3" wide!

Now these pieces are unique and rare- and for a different reason than most- These pieces are Authentic, Vintage Bakelite, however they wall is thinner than I have ever seen! I have wondered if they were produced 'later; in Bakelite's career and whether they were a response to some women who did not care for the 'Thick and Chunky' styles popular at the time- I know women even now who observe that a larger Lucite of Bakelite bangle can get "Heavy!" after a long evening out-

I am selling these in a set because of how unique they really are- I couldnt stand to have them separated- and they just look sooooo good when all worn together!

These pieces ARE 100% Vintage Made American Bakelite/Catalin. They will test posive by any means you try.

If you like this "Instant Bakelite Collection" and would like to take the chance... Make me an offer! Or discuss it with me and we'll arrange a payment plan that works for the both of us.

As many of you know Bakelite develops a patina over time- this patina is unique to this plastic and it is this patina that is 'tested' to guarantee that the material is authentic, pre 1938 Vintage American made Bakelite/Catalin/Phenolic Resin- No other plastic in the world will 'test positive' the way Bakelite does.

Bakelite and Catalin have a gemstone like optical quality, they are almost as hard as glass and this resin, this vintage 'plastic' will not melt. This material was appropriately referred to as "The Gem of Plastics" Each lot was hand mixed, poured in molds and cast and finally baked and cured under pressure and with temperatures in excess of 170 degrees and held ther baking for, in the case of Red Bakelite, up to 14 days.
Bakelite was extremely expensive, time and labor intensive to manufacture, after casting it also required an Artists hand to fabricate, turn, lathe, tumble and polish this material before it can become anything at all- Each piece of Bakelite is therefore a work of art- Unique, original, a one of a kind masterpiece.
