This listing is for a decorative throw pillow inspired by Jane Austen.

This is a small throw cushion inspired by the novel “Northanger Abbey”. I mixed machine embroidery and fabric transfers to imprint the quote onto the cushion.

The quote comes from near the end of the book as the narrator discussed the fate of Catherine and Mr Tilney. It reads:
“He felt himself bound as much in honour as in affection to Miss Morland, and believing that heart to be his own which he had been directed to gain, no unworthy retraction of a tacit consent, no reversing decree of unjustifiable anger, could shake his fidelity, or influence the resolutions it prompted.”

The pillow measures 14x14 inches(35.5x35.5cm)

Each cushion is unique as I used a mix of up-cycled fabrics, vintage lace and sari fabrics, because of this each cushion will vary slightly from the photos shown. This means the cushion you buy will be as individual as you are.
