This is a small goose egg pysanka. It is painted green and decorated with white wax, accented with red wax. The egg is divided into three parts with a delicate lace design which surrounds the egg. Each part features a prominent floral design. Its white and red wax-embossed design contributes to the egg’s lace-like delicacy.

To create this egg, I use the pinhead method also known as the drop-and-pull pinhead method. In this method, mostly used in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Lithuania, a pin stylus is used as a tool. The head of the pin is dipped into hot wax and applied to the eggshell. There are two basic techniques used in this method - wax-embossed and wax-resist.
This egg is wax-embossed, so the wax persists on the eggshell, forming a raised wax surface that you can feel when touched.

The egg has several coats of a matte finish to give a beautiful, natural look, along with strength and protection for the egg.
The egg measures approximately 3 1/2 inches from top to bottom and 2 3/8 inches from side to side.
The egg comes in a white gift box, with an acrylic egg stand and an information card. It makes for a beautiful gift for you or someone special in your life.
