The city of Porto dates back to the 4th century. In 1387, this city was the scene for the marriage of João I and Philippa of Lancaster, daughter of John of Gaunt, symbolizing the long-standing military alliance between Portugal and England, the world's oldest military alliance.

Portugal was founded in 1143!

The "Lavradeiras da Viana" were farm women from the northern area of Portugal, called Viana do Castelo. They wore colorful scarves around their shoulders and on their heads in rich and vibrant colors of red, cobalt blue, yellow and green.

Please copy and paste this video of the typical folklore dances from this area:

All my tiles are replicas made of polymer clay where the image actually becomes part of the clay through baking. No glue is used in the process. The pieces become waterproof and scratch resistant. Due to the handmade and hand shaped nature of each tile, slight variations will occur, as no two pieces are alike.

Included with each Cufflink purchase is a lovely pouch made with traditional Portuguese fabric, called Chita (sheet-a)!

Take a little bit of Portugal home with you!
