We all have a story to tell but when your diagnosed with breast cancer it could be the most important story you will ever tell. From diagnosis to treatment to recovery, and every thought in between, it matters. The process of writing about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences is shown to be therapeutic and healing.

This inspiring journal was made from the discarded book "Lady of the Mist" by Peggy Hanchar. When I saw this book in the discard pile at the library, with its black cover, I knew just what kind of journal it was meant to be.

The original text block of the book was carefully removed. New pages were sewn into the binding of the book using a harlequin stitch and white linen thread. I also added some beads to the binding stitches.

There are 3 large signatures and approximately 60 pages in the book. As you can see from the photos, the inside pages are NOT blank. They are cardstock, drawing paper, lined paper, handmade paper, vellum, envelopes, tags, and vintage paper. There are inspirational quotes, pockets, and tags. Lots of places to keep memorabilia, to doodle, draw, and of course, write.

The journal has a vintage button and ribbon closure to keep all your thoughts and pieces of life safely tucked inside.

The overall size of the journal is 8 1/2 in. X 5 1/2 in. and approx. 1 in. thick.

$25 from the sale of this journal will go to Making Strides for Breast Cancer http://makingstrides.acsevents.org
