A bright Baltimore Oriole perched by it's unique nest. The woven hanging nest of this bird is among one of natures many wonders.

This tile is 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and can be used in a kitchen or bath back splash, a fireplace surround , or as a framed stand alone piece of artwork.

Using the cuerda seca method popular in the Arts and Crafts era of the early 1900's, Richard lays out his rendering of the bird using wax, then applies the glazes. Each tile is done one at a time with meticulous care.

Whether you have an Arts and Crafts style home or just appreciate the beauty of birds, these tiles can make a lovely accent.

(the pictured frame is not included in the price but can be purchased separately in the 'Tile Frames' section).
