Vintage snake bracelet from the 1920s in a very hard to find sterling silver. Wraps once around the wrist. Exquisitely made with tightly wrapped sleek coils, elegant convex hexagonal scale detailing the head. In very good condition with a sleek finish, attractive patina and surface scratches. Signed Forstner Sterling on the underside of the head.

Forstner made both single and double coils with this same style of head. I have a matching pair of these in my own personal collection - I wear a single coil on one wrist, and a double on the other. These are among my very favorite pieces. The first image shows this bracelet with a companion double coil, also currently listed in the shop. It is rare to see two in one place. I highly recommend them both. The double coil bracelet can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/81381040/art-deco-snake-bracelet-sterling-silver

The tinted photo is of a rare vintage photograph postcard I found. On the flapper's wrist is a snake coil bracelet much like this one, but with three coils.

Flexible, with a snugly wound interior diameter of about 2 to 2.25 inches. Head is about a half inch wide.

Flexible, with a snugly wound interior diameter of about 5 to 5.5 cm. Head is about 13 mm wide.
