This is a really nice scrimshaw pendant featuring an American galleon. I don't believe it to be an authentic ivory scrim piece, but it's probably bone of some sort. Doesn't sound like plastic.

Pendant measures 1 1/3" round approx. and is marked NWC on the back. I believe it stands for The North West Company, which was a trade company in the 1700 -1800's. Don't believe it to be an antique, but maybe from giftshop from a museum. There is an artist marking on the front right side of the pendant...I believe it is signed Quinn.
