This is a beautiful and soft medium weight merino wool plum colored skirty with a fun row of 3 hearts down the center front, each surrounded by magenta thread. The ruffled lettuce edge is also finished in magenta on front and bronze thread underneath along the bottom hem. It is a natural, breathable diaper cover over a cloth diaper with an adorable skirt attached. No need for another garment to cover it. Two items in one! (all one piece).

This medium weight Merino wool is a perfect breathable cloth diaper cover for summertime and also has a soaker in the wet zone for extra protection. (You can see the outline of this in picture 2). Wool is a natural temperature regulator.

Size SMALL. Will fit a baby from approximately 0-6 months old and up. This skirtie stretches and has elasticized waist and leg bands, so it is hard to say what the upper age range is, it depends on the size of your baby.

WAIST: 14" Unstretched - 20" When Stretched
RISE: 15-1/4" (This is from top of back waistband through crotch to top of front waistband.)
Thigh: 7"- Stretches to 11"

This skirtie started out it's life as a cozy wool sweater (making it very eco-friendly). It was then washed and dried to felt it, and then fully lanolized after being made into a skirtie. It will come with instructions for washing and caring for it, which is actually very simple.

Wool diaper covers are the most natural way to cloth diaper your baby. When paired with inexpensive Chinese or Indian cotton prefolds, become an extraordinarily affordable and all natural way to cloth diaper your baby. Fitted diapers also work great with wool covers.

From Wikipedia: "Wool has also been traditionally used to cover cloth diapers. Wool fiber exteriors are hydrophobic (repel water) and the interior of the wool fiber is hygroscopic (attracts water); this makes a wool garment able to cover a wet diaper while inhibiting wicking, so outer garments remain dry. Wool felted and treated with lanolin is water resistant, air permeable, and slightly antibacterial, so it resists the buildup of odor."
