1920's Atlas Holding Up World Pencil Sharpener

This is a classic pencil sharpener that is signed Germany on the bottom and dates back to the 1920's. You can see that the Russian and Chinese Empires are still listed.

This little guy stands approximately 2.75 inches tall and the globe is approximately 1.75 wide. The Atlas is in a gold toned metal and the globe does have muted yellow, green and red colors. The globe comes apart easily to empty the shavings!!

The condition of this is fair to good for the age! The Atlas body is very detailed and the whole item has a great patina!! The middle of the globe itself has darkened noticably with years but the countires are still identifible! The upper half of the hemishpere does have some of the labelng rubbed away or showing very faintly. The inside is extremely clean! This is one little guy that has seen years of use and is still in working condition!

These sharpeners are becoming very scarce and very desirable to all types of collectors, ie: tin litho, pencil sharpeners, world globe collectors to name a few!!

This is a must have for the serious collector or a must have for the beginner at this price!!

As always, ENJOY!!!
