This little lady is a souvenir of someone's happy vacation in New Orleans. She has a flirty smile and bright blonde braids, tied up in a red kerchief -- if her hair was red, she'd look very much like Lucille Ball! Her filled base gives her balance & she's wearing a red & blue flowered skirt with large red ruffle and a ruffled cream color ruffle on her bodice. Her 'arms' are fabric, knotted at the ends. The red satin ribbon bow-tied belt reads 'New Orleans LA'. There's no date, but the styling is like the 1940s or early 1950s. She has '95' written on her base and I'm guessing this was her price, back in the day.

She stands 5-1/2" tall and her skirt puffs out to about 6" around. The flowered fabric and her cream cheesecloth collar are a little soiled or faded. The ribbon belt is a little frayed at the ends. Her face paint is nice and bright.

She's just an utterly charming lady who could add some kitsch to any room in the house!

Frequently asked questions about KitschyVintage

Who doesn't love to get a wrapped present in the mail? I'll be happy to gift-wrap your item and include a personal note if you're having it sent directly to someone as a gift. Just let me know when you check out.
I'm happy to ship internationally, though sometimes the cost is higher than the price of the item (especially in the case of heavy items)! If your country isn't listed in an item's shipping information, please convo me to get a shipping cost. There are several countries to which shipments can't be insured. If that's the case, shipping there might not be possible.
Do you see something you love, but don't have the $$ for a day or two? I'll be happy to reserve anything in the shop for you for up to 7 days. Just send me a convo and let me know.
Most vintage pottery and glass pieces should be hand-washed rather than put in the dishwasher.

It's also a good policy to never immerse a vintage figurine or wash it too vigorously, as the cold painted features (those not under glaze) wash off very easily.
