Buddha Zen by the Brush Sun Face Moon Face Buddha Print

Perfect for your meditation altar to frame or mount as as a scroll. This painting illustrates a zen story from ancient China that goes: Master Ma was sick. His monk asked him: "Teacher, how is you're venerable health these days. The Master said: Sun face buddha; moon face buddha."

These prints copies of my hand painted, fine art zen paintings done with sumi ink and watercolor. The prints accurate color corrected and are 8.5 x 11 on 67 lb. ivory vellum paper (thick) by Monk Seiko Morningstar, illustrator of Zen by the Brush. Ready to ship and frame.

Traditional Zen painting is a unique form of art. Zen art is bold, energetic and direct, depicting an image with a few strokes of the brush to capture and express the essence or spirit of the moment. Zen art is often used as a teaching tool and intended as spiritual inspiration, and as an expression of the artist’s awareness.

2011 is the year of the Dragon and I will be adding new paintings weekly, so check in often!
