This is 4 ounces of divine Polwarth top. The Polwarth is an old sheep from Australia; it is one quarter Lincoln and three quarters Merino.

Their wool is long, soft and very fine. The micron of Polwarth is between 22 - 26. Because there is so much Merino in the breeding of this sheep, it's wool is very similar to Merino, but more open due to a longer staple length of 4.5 to 6 inches. This is heavenly to spin and is fabulous for next to the skin projects. It also felts very well.

This color way is called BlueGrass. I was just staring at an empty dye pot; I didn't want to do a solid color but I wasn't up to an involved color way. So I just used two colors.

All items should be hand washed and dried.

I use professional acid dyes on all my fibers.

All monitors are not created equal, so colors may look slightly different on different monitors.
