Wow! Rare Light Blue Vinyl Deb-U-Teen Sewing Kit by Hasbro! This set consists of a large vinyl case, a smaller vinyl case, a plastic sewing machine, and other sewing accessories. The graphics on the front of the cases are the "ponytail girls". The bottom is marked with Hassenfield Bros. (later known as Hasbro). This collectible dates back to the late 50's to early 60's and is in good vintage condition. It has all of the orginal parts including some fabric. The handle for the larger case has separated and there is a small tear near the bottom of the case as you can see in the photos. Other than that, wear is from the normal love of a child. The large case measures approx. 11" across, approx. 9-1/2" tall, and approx. 3-1/2" wide. This would be a wonderful addition to any Ponytail collection!

A little history on Ponytail items... These items were marketed towards teenagers back in the day. Before the production took on Barbies and the name Hasbro, the ponytail girls were silk screened or embossed on a large variety of products by a company named Standard Handbags (later known as Standard Plastic Products). Some of the off shoot lines include Dateline, Deb-U-Teen, Teen Time, Betty Betz, and Bobby Soxer. These vinyl items were very popular among pre-teens and teenagers in the 50's and 60's.
