Lovely iconic piece of folk art form Tonala Mexico, likely ca. 1960s. This beautifully painted bird measures about 10" long and 5" high and is in very good vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks, but there is a bit of crazing, and lots of little glaze skips and bumps all over. Feet and tail feather are unglazed and there is a small felt strip on the tail feather to protect surfaces. Bottom appears to read: NYL (or some other similar symbol), Tonala Jal, Mexico, BB, 3lb
