✪ SIZE: Generally speaking, hoop sizing is based on height and body type. To pick the diameter that's best for you, simply measure from the floor to your belly button or rib cage. Slender individuals will want a smaller diameter hoop (closest to the belly button), while fuller figured individuals should choose a larger diameter (closest to the rib cage). ✪ MATERIAL: This listing is for (1) STANDARD/ HEAVYWEIGHT (160 PSI) or MID WEIGHT (100 PSI) hula hoop. Both are great options for beginners, depending on your body type. Choose the standard if you’re a fuller figured adult beginner or if you’re athletic build looking for a bit of weight on the hoop (the 160PSI weighs about a pound and a half). Choose the mid weight if you’re athletic build or slender (this one weighs about a pound).

Lightweight (125 PSI) hula hoops (best for advanced level hooping and kids hoops) are also available. I can also make this style in polypro if you prefer. Just send a DM, and I can set up a custom listing for either of these options. Lightweight tubing or Polypro performs best at sizes 35 inches or smaller. For hoops larger than that, midweight/ 100PSI or standard weight/ 160 psi is recommended and is also most popular for beginners.


✪ TRAVEL HOOP: All of our beginner hoops are 'twist and fold' style travel hoops. Your new hoop will come with detailed 'care for' instructions, including how to fold and unfold it. There are no removable pieces.

We're also happy to help! Our hoop maker is a full time hoop dance instructor of 13 years who loves setting people up for success! Include your height and body type in the notes section when ordering, and we'll size the hoop according to your specifications. If you feel comfortable sharing your weight, that's helpful too. The more information we have, the better equipped we are to make a recommendation.

Please allow up to 2 weeks for your handmade hoop to come to life, as everything we sell is custom & handmade to order. Your new hoop will then be shipped via USPS, with tracking provided.
